Welcome to Day 3, here are today’s main events:
Swimming: To summarise, Great Britain's Hannah Miley did us proud by booking herself a place in the women's individual medley final. Robbie Renwick, Gemma Spofforth and Liam Tancock all just missed out on medals in their respective races. Michael Phelps of the USA gave us an exciting race to watch as he came back from fourth to win the men's 200m butterfly in the final length. Elsewhere, in the other indiviual medley semi, China's Ye Shiwen managed to win by a clear second-and-a-half and will find herself a strong favourite in the final.
Great Britain have won their third medal of the London 2012 Olympics and the men on the team artistic gymnastics have bagged a bronze. Read more: www.independent.co.uk
