Freya Murray was today given the go-ahead to take the Marathon place given up by injured Paula Radcliffe. The British Olympic Association confirmed the 28-year-old Scottish athlete had been approved as a late call-up by the International Olympic Committee and athletics' world governing body the IAAF. -

Weightlifting: Anguish for the Philippines' Hidliyn Diaz who can't manage a lift after three attempts. Here comes Zoe Smith and she's attempting a British record. Great clean and she nearly manages to hold the jerk but just can't quite manage. She will have one more attempt. -
