Modern Pentathlon: Team GB's Samatha Murray was 13th in the riding of the Pentathlon, Mhairi Spence was 25th. Their standings overall is Murray fourth, Spence, 14th. Next up is the combined event (running and shooting) at 6pm at Greenwich Park.

200 firefighters are tackling a blaze which is said to be the biggest in London for several years in Dagenham about eight miles from the Olympic Park. The blaze is not set to affect the closing ceremony tonight though... www.independent.co.uk

Modern Pentathlon: Samatha Murray and Mhairi Spence up for Team GB at 6pm in the combined event of the women's modern pentathlon. They must run to the shooting range, hit five targets in 70 seconds, the complete a 1,000m run - three times over!
