Some Team GB stats now: Sir Chris Hoy became the first British Olympian to win six gold medals in a career, eclipsing Sir Steve Redgrave's five golds. Ben Ainslie became the most successful sailor from any nation with four gold medals (and a silver). Helen Glover and Heather Stanning became the first women to win Olympic gold in Rowing for Great Britain. -
More Team GB stats: London 2012 was Britain's most successful Olympic rowing regatta with a fourth successive title for Britain's rowing men's coxless four. Tim Baillie and Etienne Scott won Britain's first gold medal in white water canoeing. Alistair Brownlee won Britain's first triathlon gold medal. Jonny Brownlee won a bronze. They become the first brothers to win medals in an individual event in over 108 years. Nicola Adams won Britain's first title in the history of women's boxing in the flyweight division. -
