There was more success for Team GB on the penultimate day of London 2012. Luke Campbell struck gold for Britain in the boxing ring, the "Usain Bolt of canoeing" Ed McKeever paddled to gold, Liam Heath and Jon Schofield won a bronze medal in the double kayak and Tom Daly bagged a deserved bronze. -

Faux pas time: It seems the South Koreans managed to offend one of their close neighbours (not North Korea), when one of their footballers held up a flag proclaiming the remote Dokdo Islands as South Korean territory during their bronze-medal playoff match against Japan. Reason for the tension you ask? The Japanese also lay claim to the territory, which they call the Takeshima Islands. Whoops. -
