The latest news and views from the London 2012 Olympics

  • Day 14 saw more success for Team GB. Britain won TWO SILVERS in the men and women's 470 class sailing. The women's hockey team won BRONZE by beating New Zealand 3-1. Anthony Ogogo won BRONZE in his middleweight boxing bout. Lutalo Muhammad won BRONZE in his Taekwondo fight against Arman Yeremyan from Armenia.

Boxing: Anthony Ogogo lost his bout against Brazil’s Esquiva Falcao Florentino but that still meant a well-earned BRONZE medal. Freddie Evans went through to the gold medal final after beating Ukranian Taras Shelestyu. Team GB's Anthony Joshua beat Ivan Dychko of Kazakhstan to go through to the final - sure of a gold or silver medal.

Diving: Tom Daley qualified for tomorrow's finals in the 10m platform but Pete Waterfield failed to get through.

Athletics: The Olympic Stadium witnessed strong performances by British athletes including fifth place in the pole vault for Steve Lewis. Disaster though in the men's relay when we were disqualified for not exchanging the baton in time.

Hockey: Great Britain's women won BRONZE at the Riverside with a 3-1 win over New Zealand.

BMX: Team GB's Shanaze Reade and Liam Phillips both failed to win a medal.

Sailing: Luke Patience and Stuart Bithell won SILVER in the 470 medal race. Saskia Clark and Hannah Mills also claimed SILVER in the women's race.
