Closing Ceremony: There's still plenty of Olympic action left but we're starting to look ahead to Sunday night's closing ceremony. Stephen Daldry sits in the director's chair for what he promises to "the best wedding party you've ever been at". To be honest, that wouldn't be difficult judging by the wedding parties I've had to sit through. But if it's anything like the opening ceremony it's going to be superb. Cultural Olympiad: You may have not noticed but there's a Cultural Olympiad running alongside the sporting Olympics. It's one way of ensuring places outside London benefit from the Olympics and tonight the lake of Derwentwater in the Lake District is the setting for a free show which includes cars being 'driven on the lake', fireworks and music. -

BMX: Phillips makes another good start and settles into third place, a position he maintains until the finish. Australia's Connor FIelds has a great race, overtaking Van der Biezen to take the heat win. Liam Phillips is third in the standings with one heat remaining. If it stays like this he will progress to the final. -
