Here's a Usain Bolt fact for you, it has taken the Jamaican only one minute and six seconds (1:06.92) to win his five Olympic golds. His gold medal winning times are 9.69, 19.30, 8.98 split in 4x100m relay (all Beijing) and London's 9.63 and 19.32. That's an average of a gold medal every 13 seconds in Olympic finals.

Canoe Sprint: Good news for Britain's Richard Jefferies in the single C1 canoe, he came third in his heat to qualify for the semi-finals at 11:15.

Canoe Sprint: Jess Walker is up now in the Kayak Single (K1) 200m. She finished fourth and will go through to the semi-finals at 11:50.

Taekwondo: Sarah Stevenson is about to face USA's Paige McPherson in the first round of the women's -67kg. Stevenson is 3-0 down after round one, taking a kick to the head midway through the round.

Taekwondo: Things not going well for Sarah Stevenson, she concedes two points early on in the round and although she grabs one point back in the final 30 seconds, she trails 5-1 after two rounds.

Taekwondo: Stevenson concedes three points from a headshot but appeals it successfully, replays showing the kick just missed. She tries to get back into the round and again successfully appeals a kick to the head but it is ultimately in vain as she can't make up the four point deficit and loses 5-1. A disappointing first round exit for Stevenson.

Taekwondo: Lutalo Muhammad is in action now in his first round match against Farkhod Negmatov of Tajikistan. The first round is a cagey one and it ends scoreless.

Taekwondo: After nearly five minutes of fighting GB's Lutalo Muhammad breaks the deadlock with a kick to the head and then adds a further four points to carve out a comfortable 7-1 win over Negmatov. He moves into the quarter-finals.

Sailing: Last lap of the 470 race and the Australian's currently have the advantage. Team GB must win the race and ensure Australia finish third or worse if they want to claim the gold.

Sailing: Not looking good for Team GB's gold medal hopes in the 470 race as they are given a penalty turn for illegally pumping their sails. However as we saw in the Star class, everything can change at the last minute.

Sailing: Britain's women are racing now in the 470 medal race and considering they currently occupy equal first place in the standings, they have a good chance of gold. If they finish end of New Zealand in this race then they will take the gold.

Open-water swimming: Coming towards the end of the men's 10km and Britain's Daniel Fogg is not in with a chance of a medal. The currently race leader and favourite to take gold at this stage is Tunisia's Oussama Mellouli. He has a 25m lead with about 500m to go.
